The foundation's
core activity is replacement of deteriorated or missing basketball nets in community courts. While new, functional
nets may not seem like a necessity or even something that will make a lasting difference, it is the foundation's
hope that small improvements like these to local athletic facilities will be a "tipping point" that will spark community
interest and involvement and motivate children, teenagers, and even adults to become more active.
The
foundation currently supports the corridor of cities between the metropolitan areas of Austin, Texas and San Antonio,
Texas. With involvement from volunteers, we hope that the foundation's mission will spread to all areas of the country.
The need for replacement nets may be either randomly observed or identified to the foundation by any third party. Please contact us if you would like for Nets on the
Run, Inc. to install a new FREE net at your local court.
Nets on the Run will apply an easy-to-remove sticker or
magnet on every net post it has visited, containing the foundation's web address. If you are visiting our website
